Devon Hookups: Devon Women Want to Meet

Two coasts, one aim: hot casual sex in Devon with no strings attached.

Hookups between two coasts and two moors

Two coastlines set Devon apart from every other English county: one on the Bristol Channel and the Celtic Sea to the north, one on the English Channel to the south, with the South West Coast Path running the full length of both. Between them rise Dartmoor and part of Exmoor, the high ground where most of the county's rivers begin. It covers 2,590 square miles, and around 1.25 million people live here.

They aren't spread evenly. The south is more crowded than the north: Plymouth, the largest city, is in the south-west, Exeter, the county town, is in the south-east, and the resorts of Torquay and Paignton sit side by side on the south coast. Up north, Barnstaple is the largest town. In practice, the southern strip gives you the most choice close together, while anyone on the moors or the north coast should expect to drive a bit further.

Devon's crowd: older, and spread wide

Age-wise, Devon leans older. Among our members in and around the county, a quarter or so are 18 to 24, yet only around one in eight is 25 to 34. Roughly one in five is 35 to 44 and close to one in five 45 to 54, while the over-55s, at one in five, have more than double the weight they carry nationally. Nearly one in five is a woman.

Devon is big, so the picture is drawn wide: Plymouth, Torquay and Teignmouth all feature, and so do Yeovil, Dorchester and Weston-super-Mare over the county line. Okehampton and Tiverton both lie within about fifteen miles of the county's centre, handy for meeting someone from either coast.

City nights in Plymouth and Exeter

The two cities give you the most going on in one place. Plymouth is a historic port that now runs its own affairs, separate from the county council, and Exeter, the county town, sits in the dry corner of Devon, with well under half the rain that soaks parts of Dartmoor. Either works for a first drink: somewhere central, public and easy to get home from. Decide the rest once you've met, and read our safety page before you go.

Seaside towns on both coasts

Much of the coast grew up with the railways in the 19th century, when resorts boomed as the trains arrived: Dawlish, Exmouth and Sidmouth in the south, Ilfracombe and Lynmouth in the north. Torbay, the run of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, is the county's tourist centre, and the south-east coast belongs to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, all tall cliffs. A stretch of coast path, then a drink on the front, makes an easy first date.

Making Devon's distances work for you

What if I live up in north Devon?

It's quieter than the south, with Barnstaple the largest town and Ilfracombe and Lynmouth on the coast, so there are fewer people close by. Widen your distance a little and your daily match suggestions will reach further south, towards Exeter.

Do matches near Devon come from over the border?

Some do. Alongside Plymouth, Torquay and Teignmouth, our members in and around Devon include people in Yeovil, Dorchester and Weston-super-Mare. VIP members can also search by city and distance, which helps if you split your week between two places.
