VIP and VIP Plus plans renew automatically at the same price, so a one-week, one-month, three-month or six-month plan rolls on until you cancel it. The 12-month plans work differently: they run for their year and then stop, so there's nothing to cancel. Only want VIP for a busy month? Note the renewal date when you buy and cancel before it if you've had your fill.

Make every Classic message count

So spend your messages where they're likely to land. Pick people near you who want the same thing, and open with something about their profile rather than a one-word hello. Spot a fake profile on any site
Profiles that aren't what they seem turn up on dating sites and apps of every kind. A few checks help you judge one yourself.
- Search the photos. A reverse image search with Google Lens or TinEye shows whether the same pictures appear elsewhere under another name.
- Listen to the story. A job, a town or a reason for not meeting that keeps changing is a red flag.
- Notice the rush. Pressure to move to WhatsApp or text straight away, or a link they want you to click, deserves suspicion.
