Brixham Hookups: Brixham Women Want to Meet

Casual sex and no-strings fun in hilly Brixham, around the harbour and beyond.

Fishtown, Cowtown and a hookup in between

Brixham was once two separate communities joined by a marshy lane, and the split still explains the town. Even the name is homely: it's thought to come from an early resident's name plus the Old English ham, meaning home.

Fishtown, by the harbour

Here people lived off fishing and the trades that go with it. The natural harbour still shelters leisure boats alongside one of England's largest remaining commercial fishing fleets, and a replica of the Golden Hind is moored there for good.

Cowtown, a mile inland

Around what is now St Mary's Square, the living came from farming. It sits on the road out of town to the south-west, the way to Kingswear.

Put together, that makes a hilly town of about 16,800 people at the 2021 census, and one of Torbay's three main centres along with Paignton and Torquay. Faces repeat in a place this size, which is why other members know you by a username, with Brixham shown as your nearest town and never your address.

Meet by the harbour, then see where the night goes

The harbour is the obvious place to say hello: public, easy to find and never short of something to look at. If you'd rather meet out of town, Paignton is under four miles away, Dartmouth about four and Torquay under five, with Totnes just under eight. Paignton and Torquay are both bigger places, which helps if you'd rather not bump into anyone you know.

Before you go, read our hookup safety tips. The short version: meet where there are other people about, get yourself home under your own steam, and tell someone your plans.
