Salcombe Hookups: Salcombe Women Want to Meet

Casual sex for adults in Salcombe, between Bolt Head and Portlemouth Down.

Sailing-town hookups on the Kingsbridge Estuary

Salcombe owes nearly everything to its harbour. The town climbs the steep western side of the Kingsbridge Estuary, close to where it meets the sea, and the water below is naturally sheltered, which is why boatbuilding, shipbuilding and sailing made the place. These days the living comes from visitors on pleasure boats and yachts, with a traditional shellfish fishery still working alongside them.

The estuary is really a drowned valley. It runs more than five miles inland between Bolt Head and Sharpitor on one side and Portlemouth Down on the other, and it has been a Site of Special Scientific Interest since 1987. Pretty, then, and small with it: the Salcombe and Malborough ward counted about 3,350 people in 2011, and the town alone is smaller still. Visitors come for the sailing. For a hookup, the list of locals runs out quickly.
