Fordingbridge Hookups: Fordingbridge Women Want to Meet

Hookups by the Avon and its seven-arch bridge, on the edge of the New Forest.

Fordingbridge hookups with three counties in reach

Fordingbridge is known for one thing above all: a seven-arch bridge from the late Middle Ages that crosses the Avon right in the middle of town. It used to be a market town. Now about 6,200 people live here, on the edge of the New Forest and ten miles south of Salisbury, with the Avon Valley Path running through and the Dorset and Wiltshire borders both close by. Since 1982 it has been twinned with Vimoutiers, in Normandy.

A town this size has a catch and an upside. The catch is that the local pool is small and faces get recognised. The upside is the map: Salisbury, Ringwood, Romsey and Bournemouth are all within fifteen miles, so you can meet someone who doesn't live round the corner. Your profile shows a username and your nearest town and nothing else, which matters when the neighbours might be browsing too.

Fordingbridge is small; the circle round it isn't

Look 25 miles out from Fordingbridge and our members take in Southampton, Bournemouth and Ringwood, Totton and Eastleigh, Andover, and even Yarmouth. In that circle four in ten are 35 to 44, well clear of any other age group, and the 25 to 34s add close to three in ten more. Under-25s are rare, roughly one in twenty, while about one in seven is 55 or over. Nearly a third are women, slightly more than across the site as a whole.

Turning a Fordingbridge match into a meeting

A first meeting from here will often mean a short trip, and the obvious ones are close. Ringwood is under six miles away, Salisbury under ten and Romsey about thirteen, so there's usually a town somewhere between the two of you to meet in.

Make the first meeting somewhere with people around, give a friend the details, and don't rely on your date for a lift home. If it goes well, the Avon Valley Path is there for a daylight walk next time. VIP members can see who likes them, which saves time when the local pool is small, and the features page runs through the rest.
