Bournemouth Hookups: Bournemouth Women Want to Meet

Hot casual sex in Bournemouth, from the beach to the Victorian town centre.

Sea, sand and no strings in Bournemouth

Just over two hundred years ago, Bournemouth was empty heathland that only fishermen and the occasional smuggler bothered to visit.

A health resort was founded here in 1810, the railway arrived in 1870 and the place took off. At the 2021 census nearly 200,000 people lived in the built-up area, more than in any other Dorset town, and financial services sit alongside tourism in the local economy. Over five million visitors a year still come for the coastline and the nightlife.

With that many strangers about, two people meeting for a drink won't turn a head. That suits anyone after a night with no strings. Bournemouth is also a population centre in the South East Dorset conurbation, and its shoreline runs on west into Sandbanks and Poole, so where one ends and the next begins is largely a matter of opinion.

Bournemouth's crowd is a little older than the rest of the site

Bournemouth bucks the pattern on the rest of the site, where more than a quarter of members are under 25. Within 40 miles of the town only about one in eight is, while the 25 to 34s and the 35 to 44s are about a third each, so nearly two in three of our members here are aged 25 to 44. The rest are older: about one in seven are 45 to 54 and one in ten are past 55. Just under three in ten are women.

They come from Bournemouth itself, from Ringwood, Eastleigh, Southampton and Portsmouth, and from as far off as Yeovil.

Walk the sand first, have a drink in town after

Name the exact stretch, not just the beach, because with over five million visitors a year there can be a crowd on all of them. Seven miles of golden sand leaves plenty of choice:

  • Alum Chine
  • Durley Chine
  • Bournemouth Central Beach
  • Sandbanks

A walk can last as long as the conversation does. Back in the Victorian town centre, St Peter's Church has a 202-foot spire and is one of three Grade I listed churches in the borough, which makes it a landmark you can't lose each other at.

After dark, stick to busy stretches, tell a friend which bar or beach you have picked, and read our safety page before you set off.

Poole, Christchurch and the towns beyond

Christchurch is under five miles from Bournemouth and Poole about the same, and both share a council with it. Swanage is eight and a half miles off, Wareham a little over ten, and Blandford Forum about sixteen, all of them in Dorset. Ringwood is nine and a half miles away and Fordingbridge nearly fifteen, over the county line in Hampshire. Southampton and Portsmouth both fall inside the 40-mile circle, which is why the figures above include them.

Which beach should we meet on?

Alum Chine, Durley Chine and Bournemouth Central Beach are the well-known spots, and each is easy to name in a message. Stick to daylight and busy stretches for a first meeting, and move on to the town centre once you both want to.

Can I meet someone from Poole or Christchurch?

Easily. Christchurch is 4.4 miles from Bournemouth and Poole 4.6, and all three share a council, so there is no border to cross, just a short trip for a first drink. Your daily matches weigh up distance alongside age and what people are looking for, which keeps the nearest people in view.

Are there women looking for casual sex in Bournemouth?

Just under three in ten of our members within 40 miles are women, in line with the site as a whole. Put up some photos, be straight about what you want and see who turns up in your daily matches, whether they live in town or as far off as Southampton or Portsmouth.
