Portree Hookups: Portree Women Want to Meet

Casual hookups for adults in Portree, with the harbour for a first meeting and the Storr for a second.

Hookups with a harbour view, on the Isle of Skye

Cliffs fringe the harbour at Portree, Port Rìgh in Gaelic, the main town on the Isle of Skye. Its 2,300 or so residents outnumber those of any other community on the island.

It is around 74 miles from Inverness, the sort of detail that shapes a social life. More than a third of residents speak Gaelic, arts organisation ATLAS Arts adds to the cultural mix, and tourists use the town as their base for exploring the rest of the island. For a hookup, that means locals who know each other and visitors who are passing through.

Keep the first plans simple. The harbour and its pier are the obvious place to meet, and if it goes well, the A855 north past Achachork and Staffin to the Storr and the Quiraing makes a second date with scenery to spare.

Who you'll meet from Teangue to the rest of Scotland

If you are hoping to meet women, about four in ten of our members across Scotland are, and our members include people from Teangue. The bars below show how the ages split, and no band is missing: even the youngest and oldest groups make up about a tenth each.

On an island, geography matters, so say in your profile where you can meet, and add a couple of clear photos to make it easier for someone to say yes.

Across the Skye Bridge for a first meeting

The A87 links Portree to the Skye Bridge and carries on north to Uig, and from the bridge the mainland opens up, with Inverness about 74 miles away. As the crow flies, Fort William is around 58 miles off, Ullapool about 51 and Glenfinnan about 47, so allow longer once you are on the road, and agree a meeting place that does not cost either of you the whole evening in the car.

Plans change, and on an island a message that never arrives leaves someone waiting at the harbour, so say early if you cannot make it. The safety page explains blocking and reporting if anyone ever oversteps.
