Downham Market Hookups: Downham Market Women Want to Meet

No-strings fun for adults in Downham Market and along the edge of the Fens.

Downham Market hookups start on market day

The market is what the town was built on. Downham Market grew as a trading point for Fen produce, with a bridge over the Great Ouse, and in the Middle Ages it was famed for its butter market and a horse fair of note. The town sign still has horses on it to prove the point, alongside a crown and arrows. A market still runs on Fridays and Saturdays, held in the town hall car park since the Market Place was redone in 2004.

Around 10,000 people live here, on the edge of the Fens, 11 miles south of King's Lynn and 30 miles north of Cambridge. The medieval parish church and the Victorian clock tower, built in 1878, give you landmarks, and the clock tower is an easy answer to "where shall I find you?" Market days put people about, which suits a first meeting in public.
