County Down Hookups: County Down Women Want to Meet
Local hook ups for adults around Strangford Lough, the Mournes and the Down coast.
Local hook ups from Belfast Lough to Carlingford
County Down wraps itself around water. Belfast Lough runs along its northern coast and Carlingford Lough its south-west, while Strangford Lough cuts in between the Ards Peninsula and the mainland, with the Lecale peninsula making a second arm. Up in the Mourne Mountains sit the Silent Valley and Ben Crom reservoirs, Spelga Dam and Lough Shannagh, and the county even holds the most southerly point in Northern Ireland and the most easterly on the whole island.
About 552,000 people live here, the second biggest population of any county in Northern Ireland, and Down has two cities. Bangor, the largest place, sits on the north-east coast and became a city in December 2022; Newry stands on the western border with Armagh. Lisburn and Belfast both lie along the northern edge, where the River Lagan forms most of the line with County Antrim. So a local hookup in Down might start on the coast, in Newry, or with a short trip up to Belfast.
The women and men behind the profiles
The bars below cover all our members across the UK, men and women together, rather than County Down alone. Women are about three in ten of them, and they are concentrated in their late twenties to early forties: around half of the women are 25 to 34 and over a quarter 35 to 44, while only one in ten is under 25. The men's largest group, by contrast, is 18 to 24. Set the age range and gender you're after when you join, and your daily matches work from there, with distance in the mix.

The practical side of a County Down hookup
Are there local women looking for hookups in County Down?
Women are about three in ten of our members across the UK, and the figures on this page are UK-wide rather than Down alone. Distance is one of the things your daily matches weigh, so set your real nearest town and the suggestions start from where you live.
Can I meet someone from Belfast without them knowing where I live?
Yes. Your profile shows the nearest town you choose, never your address or where you are right now, and other members know you by your username, not your name. Share more once you've met and want to.
