Banbridge Hookups: Banbridge Women Want to Meet
No-strings fun for adults in Banbridge and the towns around it, from Craigavon to Newry.
Banbridge hookups, up the hill and through The Cut
Banbridge's main street climbs a steep hill before it levels out, and in 1834 an underpass was built through it because horses hauling heavy loads would faint before they reached the top.
Officially the underpass is Downshire Bridge, but it is usually called The Cut, and it makes a meeting point nobody could mistake for anywhere else in town.
The town took its name from a bridge built over the River Bann in 1712. It began as a coaching stop on the road from Belfast to Dublin and prospered on linen, and with 17,400 people at the 2021 census it still sits on the A1, so it knows a thing or two about people passing through. Since 2015 it has also shared a borough council with Armagh and Craigavon, two of its nearest neighbours.
Who's worth the climb? The age mix across the UK
The chart below is national rather than local, because a town of Banbridge's size is too small to fill one by itself. About three in ten are women, and fewer than one woman in ten is under 25, while 18 to 24 is the biggest group among the men, at over a third. Distance is only one thing your daily matches take into account; age range, what people want and how recently they were last on count as well.

Once a coaching stop, still good at halfway meetings
Close by
Craigavon is just under eight miles away and Newry about twelve, so either is an easy evening out if you live there, or an easy middle if you live further on.
Further afield
Armagh and Lisburn are around fifteen miles off and Newcastle eighteen. VIP members can search by city and distance, and the features page has the details.
Whichever way you head, choose somewhere public, give a friend the plan and sort your own way home. Should it go well, a second date can be a stroll up the main street, hill and all. Curious how far the net stretches? The locations page has pages for towns in all four nations.
