Twickenham Hookups: Twickenham Women Want to Meet

Hook up in Twickenham long after the final whistle

England play every home match at Twickenham Stadium, the largest rugby union ground in the world, and the Rugby Football Union runs the game from its headquarters here. Harlequins have a ground in town as well, the Twickenham Stoop, and the stadium has staged three Rugby World Cup finals, the latest in 2025. The crowds that come for the rugby run into six figures every year.

The rest of the week, Twickenham is a riverside town of about 62,000, counting St Margarets and Whitton, on the Thames ten miles south-west of Charing Cross. Its centre has fewer chain stores than most and more cafés and restaurants, and the old riverside keeps a run of 18th-century buildings and pleasure grounds. Plenty of locals commute into central London, St Mary's University has been here since 1925, and the whole borough of Richmond upon Thames is run from offices in the area. Twickenham hookups follow both rhythms: match days with a stadium crowd in town, and quieter evenings when a walk by the river is plan enough.

Mostly under 35 around Twickenham

Seven out of every ten members within 25 miles of Twickenham are under 35, which makes this corner of London younger than the site as a whole. The single largest group is 25 to 34, at nearly four in ten, followed by the 18 to 24s at about a third; the 35 to 44s make up roughly a fifth, and barely one in ten is older than that. A little over a third are women.
