Maidstone Hookups: Maidstone Women Want to Meet

Hot no-strings fun for adults in Maidstone and down the Medway Valley.

A county town that knows how to go out

Kent calls itself the Garden of England, and for centuries Maidstone was where that garden did its business: the Medway carried the county's farm trade straight through the middle of town, linking it with Rochester and the Thames Estuary. The town sits on two hills facing each other across the river, with the centre on the eastern one and Penenden Heath higher still beyond it. It's the county town and the largest town in Kent, home to about 100,000 people, and since the war it has traded heavy industry for light industry and services.

It's a proper night out, too. The town's night-time economy is worth around £75m a year, there are more than a million square feet of shops, and the riverside Lockmeadow Centre has a multiplex cinema and restaurants beside the market square. If you're after sex in Maidstone, the first drink is the easy part.

Four in ten are women around Maidstone

This is the number that stands out. More than four in ten of our members within 25 miles of Maidstone are women, well above the share across the site. They're young, too: six in ten are under 35, three in ten are 18 to 24, and fewer than one in five is 45 or over. On the map, that circle reaches Ashford and Canterbury, Sheerness and Southend-on-Sea, and Gravesend, Dartford and Bromley.

Meet by the Medway

The river is the obvious thread for a first meeting. Lockmeadow sits right on it, with its cinema, its restaurants and the market square, and for an evening with a plan Maidstone has several stages, among them RiverStage, the Exchange Studio in the old Corn Exchange and the Hermitage Millennium Amphitheatre.

By day there's Mote Park, whose lake is big enough for the town's sailing club, and the two big shopping centres, Fremlin Walk and The Mall, make neutral ground for a coffee. The River Len and the Loose Stream both join the Medway here, and the old mill ponds along them still mark the landscape, good for a slow walk once you've decided you like each other.

Before you go, give our safety page five minutes: it covers blocking, reporting and keeping the first meeting on your terms.
