Lostwithiel Hookups: Lostwithiel Women Want to Meet

Hookups for adults in Lostwithiel, a small town with a full diary and its own station.

Lostwithiel hookups, festival to festival

Lostwithiel packs a lot into its year:

  • Arts and crafts festival
  • Beer festival
  • Week-long summer carnival
  • Food and cider festivals in October
  • A themed evening in December

It's a full diary for a town of about 3,000, where the Fowey valley opens out at the head of the estuary, and every date on it brings people out, which is when a small town feels a lot less small. Cornish wrestling tournaments have been held here for centuries, and the town hosted the Interceltic Games in 1982, so it's well used to a crowd.

Lostwydhyel, the town's Cornish name, means the tail of a wooded area, which suits a town tucked into a river valley. In a place this size discretion matters, and on the site you're known by a username and the town you're nearest, nothing more.

People to meet from Plymouth to Falmouth

Four towns supply our nearest members: Plymouth, Truro, Newquay and Falmouth. For ages we cast a wider net, over members across England. Members aged 25 to 34 edge out the 18 to 24s, each close to three in ten, and around four in ten are 35 or older, the 35 to 44s the biggest of those older bands. Nearly 30% of the total are women.

Hookups by train from Lostwithiel

Lostwithiel station is on the Cornish Main Line, just over the medieval bridge on the south side of town, and one or two trains an hour stop in each direction on the run between Plymouth and Penzance. That makes a car optional: a match in Plymouth or somewhere along the line can come to you, or you to them.

By road, with the town sitting between the river and the A390 from Tavistock to Truro, Bodmin is five miles away, St Austell six and a half and Liskeard under ten. Wherever you meet, choose somewhere public, close to the station if one of you is coming by train, and have your way home worked out before the night starts.

If the first drink goes well, a daylight second meeting is easy to arrange: the Shirehall Moor nature reserve, just south of town, tracks the Fowey down to a broad salt marsh with herons, egrets and kingfishers about.
