Within ten miles of Kelty you have Lochgelly, Kinross, Dunfermline, Inverkeithing and Glenrothes, and Edinburgh is just under 15 miles off, so the map is kinder than the size of the town suggests.

1. Try the neighbours first. Lochgelly is only three miles away, and Dunfermline is about five, so you can meet on neutral ground without losing an evening to the road.
2. Go bigger when it suits. Edinburgh is near enough for a full evening out and far enough that nobody from your street is likely to clock you.
