Epping Hookups: Epping Women Want to Meet

No-strings nights for adults in Epping, where the Tube stops and the forest starts.

Where the Central line ends, Epping hookups begin

Epping is the eastern end of the Central line, 17 miles from Charing Cross, with the northern tip of Epping Forest wrapped around it. It's London commuter country with a market-town heart: the weekly market dates back to 1253 and still meets on Mondays, and there are plenty of listed buildings to show for it. About 10,700 people live in the built-up area, and the parish takes in Coopersale and Fiddlers Hamlet too.

The Central line makes Epping easy to reach and easy to leave, which is half of what a first meeting needs. A Monday coffee on market day is about as public as it gets, and anyone coming out from London has a single train to catch. The M25 runs just outside town and the M11 is at Harlow, five miles north, so matches who arrive by car have an easy run in as well.

After that comes a fifth aged 35 to 44, under one in ten aged 45 to 54, and about one in twenty aged 55 or over.

Loughton, Waltham Abbey and Harlow are a short hop

The closest three are Loughton at under four miles, Waltham Abbey at five and Harlow at a little over five, near enough for a match to reach you before your drink gets warm. Ongar, Cheshunt and Waltham Cross sit just beyond, with Chingford and Enfield on the Greater London side.

Epping works as a meeting point for the same reason it works as a base: the Tube stops here, so anyone coming from London has a simple way home. Decide who is making the trip, choose somewhere public and give a friend your plans. If a chat turns pushy before you've even met, block the person, and the safety page covers reporting.
