Todmorden Hookups: Todmorden Women Want to Meet
Casual, no-strings meetings for adults in Todmorden and the valleys around it.
Hookups in the town two counties once shared
Until 1888 a county border ran through the middle of Todmorden. The old line between Yorkshire and Lancashire followed the River Calder and its tributary Walsden Water, which both flow through the town, until an act of Parliament placed the whole of it in the West Riding. Not many places can say they changed county without moving an inch.
Today it's a market town of about 15,500 people at the 2011 census, in the Upper Calder Valley, built where three steep Pennine valleys meet and hemmed in by moorland and outcrops of sandblasted gritstone. Todmorden and Walsden each have a railway station. With three valleys meeting in the middle, whoever you're meeting is likely to be coming down one of them.
Three in ten are women, with Manchester and Leeds both in range
About three in ten of our members within 25 miles of Todmorden are women, which matches the site as a whole. Under-25s lead, at nearly two in five, with the 25 to 34s a little over a quarter behind them. The 35 to 44s and the 45 to 54s together come to nearly a quarter, and the over-55s add another tenth.
Manchester is one of the larger member areas on the whole site, and it sits inside the circle along with Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Rochdale, Middleton and Leyland, so you're not limited to the valley.

Meet halfway in Rochdale, Burnley or Halifax
Todmorden still has a foot in both counties as far as your search goes. Bacup, Burnley, Haslingden and Colne are Lancashire towns, while Halifax and Elland are in Calderdale and Rochdale has a borough of its own. Bacup is the nearest at about four miles, then Rochdale at seven, Burnley at eight and Halifax at ten. Manchester is 17 miles off, and if you'd rather leave the car at home, both of Todmorden's stations are there to use.
Whoever picks the place, make it public, tell a friend and plan your own way back. If a chat goes sour you can block the member or report a message from inside the site, and our safety page sets out how.
