Casual sex and no-strings fun for adults in Halifax, Calderdale and the Pennine foothills.

Hookups in Halifax, the mill town with a sweet tooth

Halifax is known for toffee and chocolate, Rolo and Quality Street among them, so it knows a thing or two about sweet. Underneath that it's a serious old wool town: in the 15th century it became an economic hub of the old West Riding, and the mills that followed made it a thriving place in the Industrial Revolution.

The Piece Hall: The big square in the town centre, built for the wool trade and in use from New Year's Day 1779, and an easy place to say you'll meet someone.
Dean Clough: Just north of the centre, once one of the largest textile factories in the world at more than half a mile long, and now offices, shops, a gym and a theatre.
The town itself: About 88,000 people at the 2021 census, in the eastern foothills of the Pennines, and the administrative centre of Calderdale.

Everyone older is spread evenly, with the 35 to 44, 45 to 54 and 55-plus groups each worth roughly a tenth.

The circle is a wide one, reaching Manchester, Leeds and Bradford, with Huddersfield, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rochdale and Middleton among the other places members live.
