Southsea Hookups: Southsea Women Want to Meet

Seaside hookups for adults in Southsea, from the castle to the pier.

Southsea hookups between the castle and the pier

Southsea was built for pleasure. It started out as a fashionable Victorian seaside resort called Croxton Town and took its present name from Southsea Castle as it grew. The castle came first by a long way: a seafront fort put up in 1544 to defend the Solent and the approaches to Portsmouth Harbour.

South Parade Pier followed in 1879 and began running passenger steamers across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. There was even an idea to link the pier to Portsmouth's railway, so visitors could skip the busy town and its crowded harbour altogether. Southsea still sits a little under two miles south of the city centre, on Portsea Island, with around 18,000 people of its own.

That history still works in your favour today: a seafront made for wandering, a city on the doorstep, and a resort that has been hosting visitors since Victorian times.

Pick your Southsea meeting point

On the seafront: Southsea Castle and South Parade Pier are easy landmarks for a first meeting in daylight: public, and simple to find.
Into the city: The inner city centre is under two miles north, and Portsmouth has a page of its own if your match would rather meet there.
A little further: Gosport is under two miles away and Havant under seven, so a match in either is close by.

Wherever you meet, keep it public and let a friend know your plans, and if anyone won't take no for an answer, block them. Our safety page explains how.
