Woking Hookups: Woking Women Want to Meet

Local hookups all over Woking

When the Domesday Book listed Woking as Wochinges, the sandy soil round here was so poor for farming that this was the emptiest corner of Surrey. The town took its time. Two waterways and a railway came through first, the Wey Navigation, the Basingstoke Canal and the London to Southampton line, and the Woking you know only got going in the 1860s, once the London Necropolis Company started selling off its spare land around the station.

After that it spread, taking in Horsell in 1907 and then Byfleet and Pyrford in 1933, and it became a borough in 1974. So a match who tells you they're from Woking could mean any of these:

• Woking
• Horsell
• Byfleet
• Pyrford

Put together, that's somewhere around 100,000 people, roughly 23 miles from central London, before you even look past the borough boundary.

Meet someone from Guildford, Chertsey or Weybridge

Chertsey is about five miles from Woking, and Weybridge and Guildford are both under six. Walton-on-Thames and Staines are around eight, Godalming and Leatherhead just under ten. For a local hookup rather than a long-distance pen pal, that's a handy spread.

Distance does a lot of the sorting for you: the daily matches weigh it up on their own, and when two people swipe right on each other, it's a match and you can start talking. Make the first meeting a public one in a place you both know, give a friend the details, and agree a time to check in with them afterwards.
