Godalming Hookups: Godalming Women Want to Meet

Hookups in Godalming, an old hosiery town

Blue woollen cloth called kersey kept Godalming busy through much of the Middle Ages, and when that trade faded the town turned to knitting, with hosiery its speciality from the 17th century. Make of that what you will.

The town sits where the Wey and the Ock meet, about 30 miles south-west of central London, and its spot on the main route between London and Portsmouth Dockyard has served it well throughout its history. The parish takes in Farncombe, Binscombe and Aaron's Hill, around 23,000 people live there, and Guildford is under four miles away. That gives you a small town to call home and another one next door, a handy combination when you'd like to meet someone without the neighbours knowing.
