Weston-super-Mare Hookups: Weston-super-Mare Women Want to Meet

Weekend hookups and weeknight flings from Weston-super-Mare up the M5.

Hookups in Weston, where the sea goes out a mile

At low tide the sea pulls back about a mile from the Weston-super-Mare seafront. The Bristol Channel has the second largest tidal range in the world, up to 14.5 metres, and what it leaves behind is sand at the top of the beach and thick, dangerous mud further out. The town fills the ground between Worlebury Hill to the north and Bleadon Hill and Brean Down to the south, and it has grown from a village of 163 people in 1811 to a built-up area of about 85,000.

Weston is still a resort, but the trade has changed. Fewer people stay for a week and far more come for the day, millions of them a year, while the town has become a home base for people who work in Bristol, 20 miles away up the M5. For sex in Weston-super-Mare, that's a useful mix: a commuter town with the motorway on its doorstep and a resort that still draws visitors by the million.

Weston hookups reach across to Cardiff

Draw a 25-mile circle round Weston and it crosses the water. Weston's own members are joined in that circle by others in Bristol, Avonmouth, Marshfield, Cardiff, Barry, Chepstow and Treforest. They're older than the site average: more of them are 35 to 44 than any other age, about three in ten, and close to a third are 45 or over, while the 18 to 24s and the 25 to 34s are a fifth each. Roughly a third are women.

Meet on the prom, not on the mud

The seafront makes first meetings simple. The Grand Pier, the beach lawns and, in season, the Wheel of Weston are public and impossible to miss. For an evening, the Playhouse on the High Street near Grove Park, the Winter Gardens and the Blakehay Theatre are the town's stages, and Weston Museum or the Helicopter Museum make an offbeat daytime date. If a first meeting turns into a second, boats run day trips from Knightstone Island along the Bristol Channel and up the Severn estuary.

One local rule: never suggest a romantic stroll out to the water at low tide. That mud is dangerous underfoot. Our hookup safety tips cover the rest, from meeting in public to getting home.

Up the M5 or across the water

Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge is about seven and a half miles away and Clevedon about eight, with Nailsea at eleven and Portishead twelve. Bristol is 20 miles off. Over the water, Penarth and Dinas Powys are around eleven miles away and Cardiff under thirteen, though those are crow-flies distances across the Channel. North of the town, Sand Point marks where the Bristol Channel ends and the Severn Estuary begins.

Weston hookups, cleared up

Can I meet someone from Cardiff or Barry?

Yes. Cardiff and Barry both fall inside the 25-mile circle our Weston figures cover, as do Chepstow and Treforest. The distance is short as the crow flies but the Channel is in the way, so settle where you're meeting before either of you sets off.

Where can we go that isn't the seafront?

The Playhouse on the High Street, the Winter Gardens and the Blakehay Theatre all put on shows, and Weston Museum or the Helicopter Museum suit a daytime meet. For a walk, Worlebury Hill is largely wooded, with the remains of an old hillfort at its far western end.

Can I find someone in Weston who works in Bristol?

Quite possibly. Weston is a commuter town for Bristol, 20 miles up the M5, and Bristol is one of the home towns in our Weston figures. VIP's advanced search lets you pick a city and a distance if you'd like to narrow it down.
