Stafford Hookups: Stafford Women Want to Meet

No-strings fun for adults in Stafford, the county town between Stoke-on-Trent and Wolverhampton.

Stafford hookups, in a town that's been at it since 913

Stafford began in 913 as a defensive Mercian burh and became the county town of Staffordshire not long afterwards. It grew into a market town in the Middle Ages, then an industrial one, living off shoemaking, engineering and electrical work. About 71,700 people lived in the town at the 2021 census, and the borough around it held nearly 137,000, so almost as many live in the rest of the borough as in Stafford itself.

More than eleven centuries on, people are still meeting in Stafford for no-strings fun, only now most of them have done their chatting first. A county town gives you a proper centre to meet in, and since daily matches factor in distance, you can tell the people nearby from the ones a drive away.

Over 35 near Stafford? You're in good company

Our figures for Stafford cover everyone within 25 miles. Two in three members there are under 35, split between the 18 to 24s on a third and the 25 to 34s just ahead. After 35 the three older groups are close to identical, each about one in nine, which adds up to a third of the circle, so nobody in their forties or fifties needs to feel like the oldest in the room. About a quarter of the members are women.

Those members come from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Tamworth, Lichfield and Crewe, plus Hednesford, Glascote and Bridgnorth. That is a lot of ground for a county town to sit in the middle of, so a good match can easily live in another town, and it pays to be open to the drive.

Neutral ground between Stoke and Wolverhampton

Stafford has no neighbour pressed up against it: the nearest towns with pages of their own, Hednesford and Cannock, are eight or nine miles away. What it does have is a useful spot on the map. The town is roughly 15 miles from Stoke-on-Trent to the north and 15 from Wolverhampton to the south, so it is fair ground when you and a match live at opposite ends of that line, and neither of you has to do all the driving.

Agree on a town you can both reach, keep the first meeting somewhere public and tell a friend where you'll be. The safety page is worth a minute before you go.
