Hednesford Hookups: Hednesford Women Want to Meet

Hednesford hookups for adults who want no strings, with the Chase on one side and Cannock on the other.

No strings in an old pit town on the edge of the Chase

Coal runs through Hednesford's history. Mining was a major employer across the Cannock Chase Coalfield, which once held upwards of 48 mines, and a miners' memorial stands in the town centre today. The town had about 17,300 people at the 2011 census and stands 16 miles north-north-west of Birmingham, 160 metres above sea level at the centre, with Pye Green climbing higher still.

Cannock Chase, a large stretch of countryside and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, wraps round the north and west of the town. There is no major river, and the nearest big water is Chasewater, three miles to the south-east. Closer in, Hednesford Park sits just north of the centre with a cafe, tennis courts and a skatepark, and the Hednesford Hills Nature Reserve lies to the east. For a first meeting that is a lot of daylight and open ground to choose from.

A young circle round Hednesford, with room for the over-45s

The age chart near Hednesford has a dip in the middle. Fewer than one in ten of our members within 25 miles is 35 to 44, while the two youngest bands are almost level and make up two in three between them. Past 45 the numbers pick up again, to nearly a quarter, so an older member is not the odd one out. About one in five is a woman, fewer than across the site as a whole. If you are in your late thirties, a slightly wider age range will probably do more for your daily matches than extra miles. Members sign up from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Solihull, Bridgnorth, Tamworth, Glascote, Lichfield and Hednesford itself.

Meet where the commuters go: Cannock, Lichfield, Walsall

Hednesford is a commuter town, with more people leaving the Cannock Chase district each day than arriving in it, mostly for Lichfield, Walsall, Stafford and Birmingham. That makes those towns natural meeting places, since your match may well spend the working day in one of them. Cannock is only 1.9 miles away, Lichfield 7.6 and Walsall 8.7, and Hednesford has its own railway station, reopened in 1989.

Tell a friend where you are going, keep the first meeting public and decide your own way home in advance. The features page shows how daily matches work, and anyone who makes you uneasy can be blocked.
