Pembroke Dock hookups, in the town the Navy built

Pembroke Dock is the one that outgrew its neighbour.

Until 1814 it was a small fishing village called Paterchurch. Then the Royal Navy Dockyard went up on the banks of the River Cleddau, the place grew fast, and today only Haverfordwest and Milford Haven are bigger towns in Pembrokeshire. The Cleddau Bridge links it to Neyland on the far side of the water, and the Welsh name is Doc Penfro.

Just under 10,000 people live here, which is small enough that the surrounding area makes a better pool of matches than the town alone. For casual sex in Pembroke Dock, think in terms of the neighbourhood: Pembroke is under two miles away, with Tenby and Kilgetty about ten.

A third of members across Wales are women

Pembroke Dock is too small for a figure of its own, so the useful picture is the national one. Across Wales roughly a third of our members are women, which is a little more than the site as a whole manages. The ages don't follow the UK pattern either: it is the 35 to 44s who come out on top, at nearly three in ten, whereas across the whole site the 25 to 34s lead. Behind them the under-25s and the 25 to 34s run about level on a quarter each, and everyone from 45 up shares the remaining fifth.

Tenby is one of the places those members come from, a little over ten miles from Pembroke Dock.

Meet in Pembroke, Kilgetty or Tenby

Pembroke is under two miles away, and its castle and town walls give a first meeting something to look at. Kilgetty is nearly ten miles off and Tenby a little more, with Clarbeston Road a mile or so further. If your match is willing to travel, Kidwelly, Carmarthen and Llanelli are between 27 and 33 miles away.

Agree the place and the time before either of you sets off, keep the first meeting public and tell a friend. Other members see a nearest town on your profile, not your address or where you are right now, and the safety page explains blocking and reporting.
