Llanrhystud Hookups: Llanrhystud Women Want to Meet

Adult fun in a Ceredigion seaside village, with Aberystwyth up the road.

Hookups in Llanrhystud, a village named for a saint

Llanrhystud is named after an early Christian saint, one of the missionaries who arrived from Armorica in the sixth century, and the church dedicated to the saint still stands in the village. The present building dates from 1852, on the site of an older church whose traces are visible at the west end, and the lower part of the belfry is thought to be 14th-century or even earlier.

That's a lot of history for a seaside village of about 650 people on the A487, nine miles south of Aberystwyth and seven north of Aberaeron, with the village of Llanddeiniol in the same community. A mile north of the village, the Cofiwch Dryweryn wall stands beside the road, a landmark for anyone coming down from Aberystwyth.

Don't expect a long list of locals here. Think of Llanrhystud as home rather than the whole map, and look up and down the coast.

Half of our Welsh members are under 35

For a village of 650 the useful numbers are national ones, so here is the picture across Wales. Half of our members are younger than 35, a quarter of them in their early twenties and a quarter in their late twenties and early thirties, and the 35 to 44s add nearly three in ten on top. Fewer than one in ten is 55 or over. About a third are women, and Aberystwyth is home to some of them.

Nine miles to Aberystwyth, the obvious place to meet

Aberystwyth is the natural meeting point, nine miles up the A487, with Borth about 13 miles off and Tywyn in Gwynedd around 20. The other way, Aberaeron is seven miles south. Further afield, Llandovery and Rhayader are both around 26 miles away, Llangammarch 29 and Crymych 31. Those are proper drives, which makes a first meeting more of an outing than a quick drink, so agree a place in the middle and a time to head home.

Meeting in a town rather than in the village keeps things even, with neither of you on home turf. The safety page explains how blocking and reporting work if a chat turns uncomfortable.
