Jarrow Hookups: Jarrow Women Want to Meet
Casual fun for adults in Jarrow, with the Tyne Tunnel and the north bank on your doorstep.
Jarrow hookups, from the shipyards to the Tyne Tunnel
Jarrow is best known for a march. In 1936 a protest against unemployment set off from here, a year after the shipbuilding that had defined the town since the middle of the nineteenth century came to an end. It is an old place too: an Anglo-Saxon monastery stood here in the eighth century.
The town sits on the south bank of the Tyne, about three miles from the coast, and roughly 29,000 people live in its built-up area. The southern mouth of the Tyne Tunnel is here, so if the person you are chatting to lives on the north bank, the way across starts in Jarrow. For casual sex, that makes it a south-bank town with the other side of the river on tap.
Younger company on both banks of the Tyne
A little over a third of our members within 40 miles of Jarrow are 35 or over: the 35 to 44s come to about one in six of the whole circle, the 45 to 54s to one in eight and those 55 or over to one in fourteen. The rest are younger, with the 25 to 34s the biggest group at a bit over a third and the 18 to 24s at nearly three in ten. About one member in five is a woman.
Sunderland and Newcastle upon Tyne are the closest of the places members come from, and the circle runs on through Durham, Peterlee and Hartlepool to Thornaby and Middlesbrough, with Jesmond in there too.

Stay on the south bank, or take the tunnel north
