No-strings hookups for Hartlepool adults, Headland and new town alike.
Hartlepool hookups, old town and new
Two towns grew up side by side here, and it took until 1967 to merge them into one borough. Knowing which is which helps when you're arranging to meet.
The Headland
The old town grew around a 7th-century abbey on a headland, and in the Middle Ages its harbour was the official port of the County Palatine of Durham. The name is Old English for a hart and a pool, after the stags that came to drink there. Every November since 2014 the Headland has held the Wintertide Festival, a weekend that opens with a community parade on the Friday and ends with a show and fireworks on the Sunday.
West Hartlepool
West Hartlepool was built from 1835 around a fresh port, with railway links to the South Durham coalfields and to Stockton-on-Tees. From 1867 the pair shared one parliamentary seat, The Hartlepools, a century before they became one borough. Today the town centre and the main railway station are both in what was West Hartlepool. About 88,000 people live in the built-up area, and the docks, engineering, chemicals and the nuclear power station south of town are among the big employers.
For sex in Hartlepool, that split is handy. Meet in the centre or out on the Headland, and keep things away from your own end of town.
Your matches within 25 miles of Hartlepool
Draw a 25-mile circle round Hartlepool and it takes in Peterlee, Durham, Sunderland and South Shields to the north and west, and Middlesbrough, Thornaby and Stockton-on-Tees to the south. Our members inside it lean young: a third are 25 to 34 and nearly three in ten are 18 to 24. The 35 to 44s and the 45 to 54s are level at about one in seven each, and fewer than one in ten is 55 or over. Put together, the over-45s make up nearly a quarter, so if you're older you're in decent company. About one in six is a woman.

Meet halfway: Peterlee, Redcar and Durham
A first meeting is simple to set up here. The town centre keeps you in public, with the main station in the same part of town, and the Wintertide weekend gives you a ready-made reason to be out on the Headland in November. Keep it to a drink the first time and tell a friend where you'll be. Blocking and reporting both work from inside the site, and there's more on our safety page.
If you'd rather meet on neutral ground, the rest of the Tees Valley is close. Peterlee is about seven miles away, Billingham and Middlesbrough just under eight, and Redcar about the same. Stockton-on-Tees is nine, Thornaby eleven, and Spennymoor and Durham about 16. Sunderland is 17 miles north and Newcastle roughly 25.
