Welshpool Hookups: Welshpool Women Want to Meet
Casual sex and no-strings fun for adults in Welshpool, four miles from the English border.
Georgian touches, a castle and England four miles away
Welshpool has plenty of Georgian architecture, and Powis Castle stands to the south-west of the town. This is a market town, Y Trallwng in Welsh, lying low beside the River Severn and historically part of Montgomeryshire. At the 2011 census the town itself had just under 6,000 people and the wider community, which takes in Cloddiau and Pool Quay, about 6,700.
Sitting only four miles from the border changes the maths of a hookup. A match from the English side is a short drive away, and a town of Georgian frontages makes a pleasant backdrop for a first drink. Because the place is small, it also pays to keep some things to yourself until you know someone, which is why a profile here shows a username and your nearest town and nothing about where you live.
Across the border and into the Midlands
Within 60 miles of Welshpool, our members come from Birmingham, Solihull, Wolverhampton, Lichfield, Hednesford and Bridgnorth, plus Liverpool and Northwich. The far edge of that circle is a long way off, so think of a meeting with someone from there as a day out rather than a quick drink. Two in every three members are 34 or younger, with the two youngest age groups almost exactly the same size, so everybody older shares the remaining third. Fewer than one in five is a woman, so a thoughtful first message goes a long way.

Meeting in the middle: Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Newtown
If your match is driving from the Midlands, Shrewsbury, nearly 17 miles away, is the obvious place to split the drive, and Oswestry, about 14 and a half miles off, is the other choice on the English side. If they are coming from deeper into Wales, Newtown is under 12 miles away.
Decide which side of the border suits you both before anyone starts the engine. Your daily matches take distance into account, but the miles you will actually drive are your call. Whichever town you pick, meet somewhere public and arrange your own way home, so that how the evening ends is up to you. The thinking behind searching close to home is on our near me page.
