Ponteland Hookups: Ponteland Women Want to Meet

Adult fun without strings in Ponteland, on the edge of the countryside just outside Newcastle.

Ponteland hookups, from drained marsh to Darras Hall

Ponteland began on marshland beside the old church and bridge, and most of that marsh has since been drained to make way for houses. Darras Hall grew up as the place expanded, and parts of the town have some of the most expensive homes in the North East, thanks to a spot just outside Newcastle, near the airport and on the edge of the countryside.

The parish is more than one place. It takes in the old village, the Darras Hall estate and the villages of Kirkley, Medburn, Milbourne and Prestwick, so when a match says Ponteland, ask which part and agree a meeting point you can both find. About 10,000 people live in the town itself.

Forty miles of members, with Ponteland in the middle

Draw a 40-mile circle round Ponteland and the members inside it skew young. Over a third are 25 to 34 and just under three in ten are 18 to 24. That leaves about three in ten aged 35 to 54, split evenly down the middle, and one in twenty older still. Roughly a quarter of the people in the circle are women.

Home towns on the list run from Newcastle upon Tyne and Jesmond to Durham, Sunderland, Hartlepool, Peterlee and Thornaby. Newcastle upon Tyne is under eight miles from Ponteland, and your daily matches take distance into account, so you don't have to cross the whole circle to meet someone.

Newcastle's close, and so are Cramlington and Morpeth

From Ponteland it's under seven miles to Cramlington, about seven and a half to Newcastle upon Tyne and a little over eight to Morpeth, so a halfway point is easy to find with almost anyone in Northumberland or along the Tyne. Newcastle is the obvious choice for a bigger night out, and close enough that you can both get home afterwards without a plan B.

Keep the first meeting somewhere public, and if you'd like to know how swiping and daily matches work before you start, the features page explains it.

What you tell people is up to you. A profile carries a username and the nearest town, and nothing on it gives away your address or your live location.
