Killin Hookups: Killin Women Want to Meet

Discreet hookups for adults at the head of Loch Tay and across Breadalbane.

Killin hookups by the Falls of Dochart

Drive into Killin on the A827 and the road crosses the Falls of Dochart on a narrow stone bridge of several arches, then drops down the main street to Loch Tay, where the Dochart and the Lochay meet.

It's a village of around 700 people at the western head of the loch, inside the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Killin is the old heart of Breadalbane, from the Gaelic for the high part of Scotland, and Stirling Council runs it today. Visitors come for the wildlife and the outdoors, and plenty use it as a base for exploring the Highlands and central Scotland. The history runs deep: Killin was an important part of Gaelic-speaking Perthshire, and for a time it sat on the front line between the Picts and the Gaels arriving from Ireland.

Be realistic about somewhere this small. Choice on your own doorstep will be thin, and discretion counts for more than it would in a city. Glasgow and Edinburgh are each about 90 minutes away by road, and the rest of this page is about making that distance work for you.

Matches worth the drive from Killin

With so few people in the village, the useful picture is everyone within 60 miles. In that circle the 25 to 34s make up about a third of our members and the 35 to 44s another three in ten; the rest split fairly evenly, roughly one in eight apiece, between the under-25s, the 45 to 54s and the over-55s. Close to four in ten are women. They live in Glasgow, Finnieston, Paisley and Cambuslang, in Greenock and Kilmarnock, and in Edinburgh and Ladybank.

Make the miles worth it

  1. Talk properly first. With the cities an hour and a half away, make sure you both want the same thing before anyone starts the car.
  2. Meet halfway. Callander, about 16 miles off, or Stirling, around 28, can split the trip with someone coming from further away.
  3. Keep the first meeting public. Tell a friend where you're going and when you'll be back. If someone isn't who they said they were, block them; our safety page explains reporting too.
  4. Then show them Killin. The falls, the loch, the Kinnell Stone Circle close to the village, or the Iron Age crannogs, artificial islands built along the shores of Loch Tay.

Callander, Pitlochry and Perth, all inside 35 miles

Killin is ringed by hills rather than suburbs, and the A827 is your way in and out: the main road from the south and west, and a higher, rural route along the edge of Loch Tay to the north and east. Callander is the nearest town with a page of its own. Pitlochry is under 28 miles away, Menstrie and Stirling both just over 28, Alva about 29 and Perth 34, with Dumbarton and Falkirk at around 37 and 38.

Is anyone on HookUps.co.uk near Killin?

Within 60 miles, yes: that circle takes in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Paisley, Greenock and Kilmarnock. The village itself is tiny, so expect to do some driving, or to host someone who does.

Can I meet someone who's visiting the area?

Plenty of visitors come to Killin for the wildlife and the outdoors, and daily matches weigh up distance and how recently people were active, so someone staying nearby can turn up in yours. Meet them somewhere public in the village first.

Is Killin too far from Glasgow or Edinburgh for a hookup?

It's about 90 minutes by road from either city, so it's a proper trip rather than a quick hop. Splitting the drive, say in Callander or Stirling, makes it easier on both of you, and if things go well the falls are a fine excuse for a second visit.
