Hendon Hookups: Hendon Women Want to Meet

Northern line, Thameslink and Finchley a walk away: no-strings hookups for adults in Hendon.

Hendon knows about firsts, from airmail to first dates

Hendon's claim to fame is in the air. The old London Aerodrome, later RAF Hendon, saw the first airmail delivery, the first parachute descent from a powered aircraft and the first night flights, and in the Second World War RAF Hendon provided the first aerial defence of a city. From 1972 the site was gradually handed over to housing and the Royal Air Force Museum London, in the area now called Colindale, which the M1 cuts off from Hendon proper.

Hendon itself is a London suburb in the borough of Barnet, seven miles north-west of Charing Cross, with an ancient Middlesex manor and parish in its past and a place in Greater London since 1965. Brent Street was the commercial centre by the 1890s. The ground climbs to about 85 metres around Church End, the River Brent runs through, and Hendon Park and Sunny Hill Park share the green space. Middlesex University is based here, and the rugby ground at Copthall sits beside the A41.

Youth is on Hendon's side: a third of members are under 25

Of the members within 25 miles of Hendon, a third are 18 to 24, where the site as a whole manages just over a quarter, and another third or so are 25 to 34. The 35 to 44s make up nearly a fifth, with just one member in ten past 45. Women make up a little over a third. The circle takes in London and Hounslow, Uxbridge and Bromley, Watford and London Colney, Luton and Harlow, which is a lot of ground for one postcode, so check how far away someone really is before you plan a Thursday night.

Finchley is a walk away, Camden a short trip

Finchley is 0.9 miles from Hendon, which makes it more of a stroll than a trip. Barnet is 3.5 miles, Camden 4.7 and Harrow 5.2. Hendon Central is on the Edgware branch of the Northern line and Hendon station is on Thameslink, so a match from elsewhere in London has no excuse. Driving instead? Allow for the Brent Cross flyover, where the A41 meets the North Circular, which has a name as a traffic blackspot.

For a first meeting choose a public place, give a friend the plan and have your route back sorted. The locations page lists every town near Hendon with a page of its own, and anyone who bothers you can be blocked or reported from inside the site.
