Airdrie Hookups: Airdrie Women Want to Meet

Casual sex with no strings in Airdrie, with Coatbridge next door and Glasgow down the road.

Airdrie has been a meeting place since 1695

An act of Parliament let Airdrie hold a weekly market in 1695, and the town's story starts there.

Weaving and manufacturing followed, with coal mines nearby, then iron works and railways, and in 1853 Airdrie opened the first public library in Scotland. Much of the heavy industry closed in the twentieth century. Today the town is a regional centre for shops and services and a commuter base for the Central Belt, standing on a plateau about 400 feet up and twelve miles east of Glasgow.

Airdrie runs straight into Coatbridge. The two were the Monklands district once, and together they make a conurbation of around 90,000 people. That is a bigger pool than the name on the map suggests, and it matters when what you want is a night with no strings and a choice of people who don't live on your street.

More women near Airdrie than across the site

Women are about four in ten of our members within 25 miles of Airdrie, where the whole site manages nearer three in ten. Seven in ten of those members are aged 25 to 44, in two near-equal halves. Fewer than one in ten is under 25, against more than one in four site-wide, and about one in eight is 55 or over. They come from Glasgow, Paisley, Cambuslang, East Kilbride, Hamilton, Stirling and Grangemouth, so your next match could live in Stirling as easily as in Hamilton, and your daily matches take distance into account.

Halfway is easy from Airdrie

Airdrie sits among a lot of other places, which suits a hookup. Bellshill is under four miles away and Hamilton about seven, so meeting in the middle costs neither of you much petrol. If you both fancy the city, Glasgow is the obvious move. And since plenty of people here commute anyway, an early-evening drink in whichever of those places lies on your way home is hardly a detour.

For a first meeting, pick a spot with other people around and let a friend know where you'll be. The safety page is worth a read before you go, too.
